With the seasons changing and winter approaching, many people start thinking about ways to fight the battle with weight gain.

With the holidays around the corner, it is very easy to pack on a few extra pounds. Most of us have pretty busy and active lives and are always looking for a fast way to do something. This is also true when it comes to losing weight. You have seen the ads on TV or the internet, telling you quick ways to lose the weight right? How do you know which one is true? How do you know that any of them are true?. This article will attempt to debunk the claims of quick weight loss and explain to you why these are not true. If weight loss was that simple and quick, wouldn’t everyone be thin and in the best shape of their lives?

The thought of spending a few bucks to have the best body of your life has crossed your mind before hasn’t it? Have you heard the claim about losing weight and eating anything you want? Those ads are all over the place and while you probably know this isn’t true, they have you thinking about ordering their product don’t they? We all know that if we always eat whatever we want, we will gain weight right? It is just common sense, but with the winter approaching, this ad speaks to many. It’s the comfort of food and family and then the idea that you can eat whatever you want and still lose weight. Sounds amazing, but yes it is too good to be true. The biology behind the myth proves that this cannot be true. The only way to lose weight is to eat healthy, and live a healthy lifestyle. This does mean not eating whatever you want.

How about the miracle diet shakes?

You know the ones that claim to lose weight forever and no risk to try it? Once again a myth that will have you spending money in hopes to lose that unwanted weight. The only way a person will ever achieved permanent weight loss is through a change in the lifestyle. A diet shake is not your answer, your answer lies in becoming educated on foods and what you put in your body. Learning how to cook and eat healthy and live a healthy life style is the only way to lose weight forever. A milk shake is not the answer here.

Then there is the ads that claim that you can lose 10kgs in 10 days. We all know how tempting that sounds. Many of us just need to lose that last 10 pounds and we would be happy right? If you are seeking to lose weight and keep it off then steer clear of these schemes. The average person can lose 1-2 kgs per week by eating healthy and exercise. That is the healthy way to do it and chances are if you are doing it on gradual basis, you are on the road to changing your life for good. This is the way to keep the weight off.

Have you seen the ads promoting they have the miracle pill?

One little pill a day will suppress your appetite and curb all your cravings. This is definitely a scam and people will not be able to take one little pill and have all the struggles of weight loss go away. This scam works by playing on the mind and throwing the idea of a quick fix out there. Do not waste your hard earned money on a scam, there is no quick fix. Not to mention most of the pills have side effects, and sometimes you really don’t know what they side effects are. They are not worth risking your health for the idea of a quick fix.

The best one out there is the ones that say proven weight loss formula for everyone. Last time I checked every human was different, so how can one formula work for all. Everyone one has different body shape, different lifestyle and of course different metabolism. This is one diet plan that cannot work, we are all unique and so should our approach to weight loss. In order to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle we need to correct and fix our own personal eating habits. I can assure you my eating habits are different than yours, so our approach to weight loss will also be different.

Be weary of the ones that claim scientifically proven or claiming that a doctor has endorsed the weight loss product.

Read the bottle, where was the research done? What proof can you find about the product? If this product is proven, what journal can you find the results in? There are many question you should ask when you see these types of claims. You want to check what doctor endorses this, what is their field of specialty, was the research done on humans or on animals? The list goes on and on, but if the product does not list some of these answers, then chances are this is just another scam aimed at taking your hard earned money. Also be on the lookout for the ones that claim they are 100 safe. Chances are this is another marketing ploy aimed at your wallet. Remember how ephedra was once 100 safe?

Finally let’s look at the ads that claim in just 5 minutes a day you will have this amazing body. So if it all it took was 5 minutes a day, why do we have any one that is overweight? Wouldn’t everyone have the best body and we would all be swimsuit models if all it took was 5 minutes a day. In order to have a fit and trim body, it takes work and dedication. One needs a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise and eating right. There is no miracle cure for weight loss. The only way to lose weight is to change your lifestyle. By changing your lifestyle you will have a much better chance of losing the weight and keeping it off forever, and naturally of course.
